It was not long after that when Sunny Joe White asked her if she wanted to be on-the-radio. She was asked to fill-in on the morning show as the side kick because the full time girl was pregnant...and that's when it really all began. Not long after that she developed the "Night People Report" and did that for quite a while. Then she started doing 4 hour air shifts on the radio station. After many great years on KISS-108FM that led to the next adventure... Karen received a
job offer from WZOU 94.5FM. She was part of the "Z-Morning Zoo."
She was also well known as "The
Madam." The station then switched to what is now known as JAM'N 94.5
and she was given to the afternoon show. The ratings proved
that Karen was definitely one of Boston radio's
hottest commodities!!! She's received a number of awards...Karen
was voted "The most popular radio personality" from the
Boston Herald readers' poll...She was also voted "The most popular
Boston DJ from the Rhode Island Journal" and she was
nominated as "Major Market Air personality of the year"
She's also had featured articles in the Boston Herald, The Boston Globe,
The Tab Newspaper, and Various National Magazines!!!! ------------------------------------------------------------------
Karen was then teamed up with Ralphie Marino and Fast Freddy bringing you "Ralphie and Karen's Morning Show" on STAR 937FM! The chemistry was great and they had a wonderful time together!!! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Currently, Karen can be heard on the legendary station 103.3 WODS in Boston. It's "Zito and Karen Blake In the Morning" weekdays from 6-9am.
